Wm. Paca House & Gardens Tour, 10:30 a.m. - Noon

This Georgian mansion was built in the 1760s by William Paca, one of Maryland’s four Signers of the Declaration of Independence and the state’s third Governor. It is recognized as one of the finest 18th-century homes in the country and a National Historic Landmark. Guided tours feature period furnishings and paintings, and the inner workings of an upper-class household in colonial and revolutionary Annapolis.

The gardens are painstakingly restored to their original splendor. Visitors can view native and heirloom plants while exploring the terraced landscape’s formal Parterres, naturalistic Wilderness, practical Kitchen garden and the latticework bridge over a fish-shaped pond.

Galway Bay Irish Pub, 12:15 - 1:45 p.m.

Paca House to Galway Pub is 0.1 mile

Opened in 1998, Galway Bay has become a well-known Annapolis tradition, built on fine Irish Hospitality, and authentic in every sense.

Our State House is America's first peacetime capitol, the oldest state house still in legislative use and a National Historic Landmark. Completed in 1779, it was the site of nationally important events after the American Revolution, including George Washington's resignation as commander-in-chief of the Continental Army, and the ratification of the Treaty of Paris.
