Introduction to Beekeeping

Course Description

This course will introduce students to beekeeping. It is appropriate for those wishing to start with beekeeping, beginning beekeepers and those who are just fascinated by the subject. We will explore the workings of the hive, seasonal tasks, a little biology, honey, wax, and pollination, as well as what equipment is needed to start. We will also discuss current topics such as bee diseases and pesticides as well as suggestions about how to plant your garden. Instructor: George Meyer
