Course Description

Do~a Barbara is the story of a powerful woman in the plains of Venezuela and her younger rival, Santos Luzardo, and the confrontation of the forces of nature and civilization at the beginning of the twentieth century. The novel presents fabulous prose, unforgettable characters and unavoidable conflicts, with a peaceful resolution. An English translation of the novel by Robert Malloy is available on Amazon and Kindle. Instructor: Raymond Vergne
