Human Powered Submarine Races

Course Description

High school, college and independent teams compete to see who can go the fastest on a 100 meter underwater course. All submarines have to be human powered and can be one or two person subs. The 18th International Submarine Race was held at the Navy's Model Boat Basin at Carderock, MD. Course will cover issues faced by contestants, design successes/failures and what some of the contestants have done after the races. Instructor: David Peterson
